Can anyone identify this?...

I was looking at models on a Russian site, which turned out to be full of pirated material. One of them was a huge and quite impressive model of the Arcadia from (I think) the recent movie version of Space Pirate Captain Harlock (as opposed to the earlier anime versions)

However, the page layout (using green bars on the side) looked very familiar - I recognized the basic style as that of the Wani Magazine model of Space Battleship Yamato - a big, 3-ft model that came as a big booklet.

However, I've googled it and searched over at Amazon.co.Jp without finding such an Arcadia model...

So I'm wondering, was this from Wani magazine? was it designed by the same man (I haven't found a listing for the author of the Yamato anywhere and can't read the Japanese)?

This is a really cool "lost model" and I'd love to find out more about it.

Can anyone help?

Maybe this will help in your search
Space Pirate Captain Harlock Arcadia - Paper Craft Book | Otaku.co.uk

Searching that bar code 9784898298275 brings this result:

Amazon just turned it up:

https://www.amazon.com/Uchu%C3%8C-ka...=9784898298275

They list the author as Reiji Matsumoto, which is a very, very familiar name. I'm sure I've seen in in the last couple of months while I've been digging for info.

What amazes me is that PMI (or for that matter, Hathaway) never picked up any of the Japanese models I've found, particularly not these 2 from Wani magazine. Or any other Japanese models.
