Pinzgauer Heavy Shuttle (Genet Models)
The Pinzgauer Heavy Shuttle is a free download from Genet Models. It comes with several liveries. I chose white and re-lettered it as a United Nations Relief Shuttle. The weathering is original to the kit.
I added raised panels all around, a few antennae, a base from Dave Graffam Models, and a load in the cargo bay. I also used heavier card for the cargo floor and some other panels. Overall the fit and finish was very good and the instructions were adequate. The cargo consists of an "LV86 Onager" (white) re-lettered as an ambulance, and some crates and "first aid pods," all from Genet Models. I added a lot more detail to the Onager and cargo bay than can be seen -- raised panels, extra lights, and re-lettering. The cargo bed slides up and down (not easily) and the chin panel moves up and down. I've shown it, with the cargo bed partially retracted. It would be a great kit for tabletop gaming. At 1/60 scale, the finished shuttle is about 18 inches long. Overall, the kit's fit and finish is good and it makes an impressively large model. The whole project took about three weeks of evenings. If I were to do it again (not likely) I would add LED navigation lights and cargo bay lamps. There are plenty of cavities for running wires and fiber optics. Consider that a dare. Then again, it might be fun to do one in FEDEX or UPS colors. --David

You did a REALLY GOOD job on this project! I like how you raised the panels and added moe detail. I use the same technique with the models that I build.
I have the entire collection. I need to try my hand at one of these models and make a diorama. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!

Very nicely done. I've done lots of Chris's models, but not this one, probably due to the size.
I'm going to post this in his forum, if you don't mind, but I'll wait on word from you. I was hoping his 'starting fresh after the first of the year' would have happened by now, but I'm sure he'll be getting more of my money when he gets things rolling

Very nice and clean build. Did you take any pics, or have notes, of your process?
Thanks!
