And section 5 is done. Four and Five are pretty simplistic components. Section six has a lot more detail on it.

Such precision work at such a speed.

I figured out the last time I made the Sulaco how to get it clean. Since there are lots of big flat planes... use chipboard to reinforce those from the inside. Cut a panel just under the size of the face (allowing for tabs and such) and laminate that to the inside of the part. This keeps the edges from wanting to deform and keeps the big flat areas from becoming convex or concave. Then for the little pokey parts on the front... use dowel and metal rods instead of trying to roll the super thin and super long parts.
After that, it is an exercise in consistency... and edge coloring. Sections 4 and 5 are very simple by comparison to the first few sections. That also makes the speed of construction look quite quick. |

Do it. It isn't a bad build at all. it is just a long build. Treat each section as a small-medium model on its own. When you're done with all of them they then go together.
...like a bunch of smaller robots that go together to form one giant robot. |

And I finished section 7. It is a set of armor panels... very simple compared to the previous parts.
