Iron Giant

Julius is in the process of publishing a 40 cm, fully articulated version of the Iron Giant on his Paper-Replika site.

Just worked out the scale, 1/76th, so would look good in a diorama with some buildings and vehicles. My mind is already working overtime!
Many thanks to Julius for his inspired work.

Cool.Great movie, and an excellent idea for a paper model.
This one reminds me of another giant robot, from a different movie: the robot soldier/gardener in Miyazaki's "Castle in the Sky"....
Maybe someone can create a model for this one, someday...

Edit: added photo of robot statue found at the Studio Ghibli museum.

I loved the Iron Giant movie.
And just a couple of days ago I was looking for Iron Giant templates and found nothing.
I am glad Perdana is taking on this project.
Not that I am going to be skillful enough to build something like this anytime soon ^^;
