I had warping in the same spot on the upper side. I definitely want to build this one again although I will prolly go bigger next time.

The stern half should not warp as it has enough leeway between the two quarters. If the side corridors are lined up straight then the only thing that could go wrong is the front bit not being perfectly aligned. I am thinking, when I build this again, to wait gluing the front bit after the dishes have come on ... and bigger sound great! I am also thinking about printing at A3 (double size).

Wow! This looks awesome!

One thing which is distracting a bit from the overall splendid appearance are the dotted folding / cutting lines. Not too bad an issue but a small thing which might be worth addressing.

Not sure, they would have to be quite opaque. The dotted lines are the one thing I would love to be improved. Put them on a separate layer that one could switch off. I will ask Shunichi about it.

Here come the pics from the completed model. It is done!

The final touches include these small piping details. I glued them on a couple of layers of paper to make them about 1mm thick.

There are a couple provided, but then you can also make your own and add more if you like.

Lots of small details parts added on the front mandibles.

There she is in her full glory! :-)

"What a piece of junk!"

Taking off ... to the Kessel run!

I had some photoshopping fun with the last pic ...

That's it! Hope you enjoyed it :-)

Fine job! Thanks for sharing the build and photos.

And, yeah it does seem those fold lines could be toned down a bit.

WOW! Impressive!

As for the folding lines: Water colours gently applied on them or scraping them off with a scalpel and then painting the white areas could work. Of course, the best way would be to edit the pages in InkScape and tone the line colour down.

You only see the fold lines in the close-ups. Nicely done

Regarding the fold lines, it's true, one only really notices them in close ups.

I wasn't aware that Inkscape imports PDF. Opens up new possibilities!
