Completed finalizing the parts (well, almost, landing gear legs are left for later :-) )

Added some former parts to make the build of the rear engines more stable.

Comparison of the AAL and the U-Wing from last year.

Looking forward to starting the texturing ... and the bigger 30mm figure scale version!

Nothing like dealing with a firefight at the LZ when one of these is coming in.

And this is going to be an interesting project to watch.

Went on to convert the small model layout to the larger one. Needed to split up some parts due to page size limit. A first test build showed that the assembly works. I enjoy this size more :-)

Then I started creating the textures by using the original 3D file as reference. This is how far I got for now. I also double up the ornament on the top to make it pop more.

Enjoying watching you design these models Chris. Always look for posts from you. Keep up the good work!

Today, trying out the newly textured engine modules. At this scale (double the size of the white prototype) I had room to add a couple of the smaller details I found on the references.

I also tested the closing of the main hull with some changes to the unfold sequence. Now I finish the closing up with a flat piece. Now internal support yet but I wanted to test that now. I have to build it all again anyway for instructions :-)

I was just going to say 'stunning', but 'stunning' is too short

But it really is gorgeous
