Mass Effect M35 MAKO Build Attempt

As ive just finished a project i spotted this ....

First of all a big thankyou to Thunderchild for sharing the great model with us ...

Ok so lets start ..

Material of choice ..

Three pages of instructions .. at first glance very easy to follow but we will see ...

Seven pages of parts ...spotted what might be a problem..
now this is just my opinion and it may be down to the material i'm printing on and my printer ....

The fold and cut lines are not very clear ..i think they needed to be a bit heavier in Pepakura before conversion ..but what would i know ...

be back later with first part build pics....

Whoa that was quick! Barely been uploaded! Hehehe.

More than welcome my friend!

I wanted the fold-lines to be inconspicuous, so that one was deliberate. Cut lines printed fine on my printer...
If there are more guys finding these two points an issue, I'll revisit and make the alterations. Thanks for pointing them out imavingalaughaswell.

Can't wait to see how it comes out!

First couple of pics ...quality not too good , i'm using a webcam as my camera decided to break on me grrrrrr

This is parts A1 and A2 which glue together to form one part ..that make sense? ..

anyway , apart from me having trouble seeing the cut and fold llines the part went together well and fit etc was very good...

Be back laterz...

Well i'm back again ....gonna be back a few times today till have had enough lol ...

Onto parts A3 and A4 which again glue together to form one part..

And again with these the part went together well and again the fit etc was very good...

Next i had to join the 2 now completed parts together..

this was a little tricky as , although i was using card for this build i still suffered from the warping of parts..

will be back laterz ...

Is this a model that I should be building internal supports for? You spoke of warpage. I try to keep things square in my builds, but sometimes I have issues. A lot of times, building an internal structure first keeps things from getting skewed.

If I may ask, which area is causing you grief?
