Alpha Fission battery version ready.

Now I have to redesigned it to version beta, because I figured out how to ensure easy replacement of AAA batteries.
Below it will be a removable metal plate with a screw.

I dismantled the old relay to parts, but the first attempt did not work, the thread on the nut was bad.

I used a thread from another part of the relay. Here, a coarser material was used.

I have prepared new parts, modified almost all parts.
Now I have to cut them with a water jet. Try find the differences. :D

Coated with super glue and sodium bicarbonate, then with putty and then colorized.
The inscription is created using the PROPISOT font set.

Fission battery finished.

The first attempt to illuminate the vacuum tubes from behind, it's not bad, but it's not exactly this, what I expected.

I continue with CRT, where I want to make a deflection coils.

A look at things I've already done and everything stacked inside the terminal.

Some progress on deflection coils.

Now I have to find a way to illuminate the vacuum tube on the screen, because iluminating from the side will not be good.

I made the illuminating vacuum tube on CRT in the socket and it looks good, I also change the location of the LEDs for the rest of the tubes.

I did a serious research (trial- and- error method) to get a picture on the screen. At first I made a light source in a shielded tube.

But I found that I had to make a hole in the shape of the future image in the cover.

Of course, finally, there will be the Brotherhood of Steel logo.

Sketchup, Pepakura and cutting with water jet from 1mm plastic plate.
Logo height is 25mm.

Nothing big, but it looks relatively good.

I slowly approach the finish line. All is illuminated, I just have to close it.
