Anyone build this? The tiny one I built for a coworker seemed to disappoint, so I decided to take on the big one - but without instructions, I'm not sure how the interior skeleton parts are supposed to go together. The curved dish frames are pretty obvious, but these parts have me scratching my head:
The pieces on the bottom right appear to go in the nacelles, but the lower left and top I'm unsure of. The very top two are reminiscent of the pieces at the notches at the rear of the disk, but as these are laminated to 1 mm card, I'm not seeing how they are supposed to be used. For anyone else considering this model, my biggest lesson learned so far: the dish quadrants should be laminated to a single large piece of 3mm foam core, not 4 separate pieces. I have also assumed that the underside 4 quadrants laminated to 1 mm should also be a single piece - although I didn't have a piece that large so mine are separate - and then laminated to the reverse of the 3 mm foam core to make a single slab.

So, I confirmed how some of the nacelle parts go together.
For clarity, these are the parts I remain uncertain about:

For reference, here's the tiny build:
Referring to my previous post, lessons learned: DON'T do this: My progress so far: Top: Bottom: I'm wondering if those slots in the fore and rear former on the bottom are supposed to be for the straight pieces from my first post. The height seems about right, but not the length.

Not sure, but I believe that the long thin pieces go around the edges of the saucer section. The olvel peices are to reinforce the joint between the red dome of the necel and the necel. I don't have a clue about the others, sorry.

I guess that makes sense, given that there's a bit of the formers hanging over the edge. Doesn't seem like the combined length is enough to go all the way around, but I'll give it a try.

The remaining structural pieces are the edging to the main dish and the support structures to the nacelles, for the front domes to provide a structure to build the rounded shape against. Hope that provides a little clarity.

WOW! I'll be following this one closely. One thing I noticed is that the texture is not quite correct, especially on the dish.

Maybe, if I like the build, I'll work on fixing the textures.

Thanks, I'll take a closer look and see if I can figure it out based on this info.
