Cool! Season 3 has introduced a bunch of cool designs, too.

I thought that racer was cool looking...at first.
Then I was shaking my head a lot. Why did the seats swivel and swing so much? Theres no gravity, no up, no down...it didn't make any sense. The G-Force effect doesn't make a ton of sense to me and what the chemicals do. And why are they experiencing such high g-forces in space with no gravity effect? The cabins have air and are pressurized. Or... how the g-force counter chemicals are delivered into the body...lol...did I miss that explanation? Wouldn't they need to connect IVs every time they strapped into a chair? Another topic... But that "racer" is not very fast. It couldn't outrun the missiles that don't have fancy hi-speed speed engines. And it had difficulty outrunning the ship firing at it! A big old battleship was just as fast as a super-duper race ship?

Not sure what the chemicals do or how they are injected, but "The Expanse" gets gravity correct. The ships' decks are laid out like skyscrapers, not cruise ships or airplanes. So when they are under thrust, the force of gravity holds them to the deck.
The other thing "The Expanse" gets correct is just how much time you have to spend decelerating. So a ship goes roughly halfway to its destination, then does a 180-degree flip so the drive engine can begin slowing the ship. And that's where the magnetic boots come in; they keep you attached to the deck. Otherwise, you'd be glued to the ceiling. These issues (and others) are discussed at Atomic Rockets: Seal of Approval - Atomic Rockets |

The chemical assistance was explained in a early episode, but I can't remember anything.
Isn't the gravity force in direct opposition to the direction of travel? In other words...you get pushed to the back of the cabin (not the floor) during forward flight? And why, in the Space Racer (at speed) are the two passengers flattened into their seats being injected with stroke inducing drugs yet the crew of the battleship chasing them (and catching them) are casually standing at consoles? lol

This is what happened early on in the series (as follows)
but somewhere along the line the show forgets about most of this explanation and just resorts to sit down in the chair, suffer through the Gs and then stand up okay. Characters in "The Expanse" go to even greater lengths to survive the megaforces of moving through the solar system at high speeds. Before every turn or acceleration they strap themselves into crash chairs and put in mouthguards. Robotic metal pincers pierce their necks, supporting their spines and pumping a sickly, gelatinous goop into their bloodstreams. Presumably this keeps their essential fluids from sloshing around too much. The whole thing looks fairly unpleasant. -Notice this procedure is required for EVERY turn or acceleration. -What happened to the mouthguards? -I see no evidence of repeated piercing by metal pincers into the neck and upper spine. -And its amazing how quickly this "gelatinous goop" is removed from their bodies and they fully recover from near stroke inducing effects. Yeah, I guess everyone in Space has perfect blood pressure too, and can handle these cocktails?! And how does the chemical stop the physical problem of eyeballs exiting the skull, or expelling stomach fluids under g force? Don't get me wrong...I LOVE this show!...but do it right, or don't do it right... stop twisting the rules to suit the script. If you want to establish some rules, then stick to them. Don't make me call Marvin.

okay, I see.
no, I did not get that. so, that part is answered. Doesn't explain anyone standing up in any ship thats moving quickly, but thats another discussion. lol

Somewhere in book one there was something about the Donager looking like an ugly office building? I think, it's been a while.
