Icarus
I had a search around the forum, but although there were quite a few mentions and links to Jan Rukr's models of Icarus, no one seems to have actually made them.
... So here I go... First up is the crash scene from Planet of the Apes. You may note from the ruler that I have used my usual trick of 1/4 sizing by printing four pages on one A4 sheet. This does increase the build difficulty somewhat, but as you can see, even with my damaged fingers, it IS possible. Start to finish around three hours. Tweezers and magnifying head set much in use. Next up will be Jan's interpretation (Guess) at what the complete shuttle would look like. Followed by his imagined launch booster vehicle. Again, both reduced to 1/4 size. Sorry Spaceagent9, but I liked Jan's version more than yours, even if yours is based on the recovered shuttle from a later film.

WOW, that looks great. Is that Charlton Heston climbing out?
Nice work, Johnny. Gary

Great build.
My opinion is 1/2 size (2×2pages), not 1/4 size (4×4pages) |

I've always liked the look of this model. You've done a really fine job, and in such a small scale too. Super!

The first four bits cut out and formed, but nothing glued yet. As I found with the crash scene one, gluing in the window indents is very slow tab by tab process, but my finger tips were too sore to continue any further this morning.
Babysitting a traumatised dog this afternoon, but there's another day tomorrow and my diary is empty all month. I'll get there eventually.
