Building things like this takes patience and dare I say it ... endurance ... but the end result will make it all worthwhile. Looking forward to a strong finish :-)

I would be tempted to try a paper cutting machine. all those repeat customers.

In my opinion, endurance has to play a killer roll in modeling. Do I keep at it or do I hang this model up. For me it's after I've giving up does a idea or help from this forum keep me going. But that's just me. wc

Green and Blue
No better name for this model I guess, and I had to apply all my endurance to form all those wheels: I had to trim each disc with his ring, slowly working it with sandpaper.
So the green group is complete. The blue group is the more complex but luckily I have only four elements. First the rings, the common part to all the groups, and the cylindrical part that I think is like the PMA (Pressurized Mating Adapter) on the ISS. Then a sort of collar all around the "PMA", very tricky to cut, fold and glue. Now, after assembly completed for the blue group, I just have to assemble the individual connectors of the communication tunnel. Best, Nando PS: looking at the second picture, it seems to me to see the wheels of a tank, and so I think that after this experience it will not scare me so much the construction of a tank model

I completed the blue group and I put all the parts together, assembling the connectors of the tunnel. Here some picture.
Now we can start with the central docking hub May be it is too soon, but I began to think about how to display the model. Any suggestion? Best, Nando

Hi there!
Wow! Very nice build so far! I am looking forward to see the parts coming together. This is indeed a nice and inspiring forum here with all the models being built. Keep on the good work nando! -Radek

While I'm working on the central docking hub, I'm thinking how to show the model.
I did some simulation, not in scale, just a sort of visualization. Which one do you prefer? I prefer the first one, the simplest. In this case the ship leans on the engine modules. Any suggestion? Best, Nando

Nr3 would add a bit of depth, than again I think nr2 would be even better if it had 3rd panel and all 3 were about twice the height of the finished model.Imagine the illusion thatw ill give.
Hey,I can staple one sheet like this to my ceiling and hang U-2 spy under it.Cool idea, thx. btw-I mentioned Interstellar and spaceship Endurance to my SF film ignorant friend and response I got was " I didn't know Viagra sponsored film making" .I think he had Alien Resurrection in mind |

Here some step doing the Central Docking Hub.
The following pics depict the most challenging passage, where i think I earned my degree in cutting impossible details. Here it's were I am, the last picture depicts simply a dry fit, next magnets, docking connectors for the rangers .... About the stand, i'll try the #3 but I'll do the first version as backup solution in the worst case. Best, Nando
