I have to agree with Elliott on Number 3. All three would be fine, but I think that #2 and #3 would both be more effective if they were a little larger

The connectors for the Rangers

Next the Lander

The central hub and the lander seem to me very heavy, and I think that I'm putting only one magnet and not two as suggests the sensei. The single neodymium magnet is strong enough ( a strength of 1.9 kg )
Next the second lander.

Now the Rangers

Best, Nando

Amazing build! I will also have to watch the movie again once you are finished ... just for research purposes :-)

The rangers have less parts but an intricate shape, and it was tricky keep symmetry and avoid the twisting.

The angle is wrong, but after some adjustment it's all right now.

Finally all the components of the central hub can go together, and they form a impressive ensemble, so strictly packed that i think that the docking maneuver was very hard.

Now all the components of the model are ready for the final assembly and the view is already impressive, at least for me: i can admire the amount of work done so far.

Next the final assembly o_O

Best, Nando

Thank you all for your kindness and expectation.
Here just a fitting test with each module glued on one side with his connector.

Best Nando

The good news is that I completed the model by gluing the parts of the ring, minus the central hub, but ...

Houston, we've had a problem ...

It's a big problem, actually two.

The first concerns bonding. I wanted to try to use a plasticizer to protect the color, but this made gluing with the vinyl glue less solid, and now some parts tend to come off when I move the assembled model.
I will solve it by gluing the parts again with cyanoacrylic glue.

The second is the most serious: the model, placed vertically, visibly deforms either by leaning it, or by hanging it, even without the extra weight of the central hub with lander and ranger. At present it is no longer possible to intervene with internal or external reinforcements of any kind. I think the only solution is to intervene with the stand.
I thought that the support should not be too visible but robust enough to provide the stiffness that is missing to the model through a series of tips that distribute the support. Here an image of my idea.

Any hint?
Best, Nando :(
