How about floral wire bent into a circle, with tiny shelves attached (taped?) around the wire? The wire might (or might not) need to be "doubled up."

Just a thought! Hmmm...

Any chance the modules and connectors can be carefully disassembled and wood glue (aliphatic resin) used to bond them back together? Seems to me that would dry stiff enough to keep everything in the proper shape.

I think I found the solution.
Looking for someone who had already built the Endurance, I found a German model maker (mk310149) who has adopted a simple and effective solution, at least in a vertical position.

As you can see from the picture, he crossed with a wooden rod the main connecting tunnel, so as to make the central hub solid and its load of shuttles and support also the two half rings.
I thought of replacing the wooden rod with a transparent made of Plexiglas to make the "intrusion" less evident and here is a test of the solution.

Best, Nando

Nice, clean solution. It also underscores my belief that the movie's design for the ship's central hub is flawed. Having it attach the outer ring at only one point makes no sense.

I agree. I believe the weight only being attached on on side would induce a a serious wobble if was under spin, which the movie had it spin for the gravity needed.

Go with it Nando. It looks like an excellent solution!
