USCSS Nostromo

I finished this a couple of months ago and didn't take many build photos but it turned out great.
I found a simple model on DeviantArt and remade a lot of parts to make it more closer to original.
Almost all is paper except for a couple of greeblies found around to add detail.
I love Alien movie it's my favorite one so i had to build the Nostromo, can't wait for Thales to finish his Narcissus im gonna have blast with it hahah.
Thanks for looking and have a good day.

Fine job. Nice detail.

Given the popularity of the original movie and its sequels, I've often wondered why there isn't a nice, detailed card model of the Nostromo available. Yeah, it's got some complex shapes, but so do other vehicles we have card models of....

Thanks!

Did you make the Nostromo as a one-off, or did you keep track of all the detailing you've done so others can do the same? I've been tempted to make a better rendition of the Nostromo than the plans with a large flat panels that have no 3d relief.

Thanks guys.
Well yeah it's a one off but i have couple of build pics and it is not difficult to do so i could make some diagrams for major changes that i did but most of the work is just detailing the hull...and most tidious too. Loads of little squares and shapes everywhere.

I too am a big Alien fan.
I have been working on a Koolwheelz size Nostromo for over a year.
I have barely got the central structure figured out. lol
Its just too complicated a shape, requiring too many separate elements.
Trying to simplify it and keep the part count down (to fit onto a single sheet) has frustrated me,
so I keep starting and stopping...and switching to easier projects!
Eventually I will get it done.

Ha! I solved part of that in my designs by not worrying about complexity or keeping it to one page. Though I do have to keep it up above a certain level of detail or it is impossible to construct.
