The epstein Yacht, scale 1:100

Hi folks.

I buildt the Epstein yacht downscaled to 1:100.
It was a lot of fun to do it.
The most difficult part was the sphere of the mid section.

Here the result.

Cheers Wiwo

Here is a second bunch of pictures.
I tried to build the antenna and sensors as good as I could.
The prensntatin stand is also a design from me.

Cheers Wiwo

Nice to see your work Wolfgang. Excellent photos.
This looks very good, particularly the sphere.

A very well constructed model. Th custom stand looks great as well. I have to admit, having never seen "the Expanse", I was thinking of a different yacht - the one owned by Jeffery Epstein.

Hello all.

Thank you for your kind words.

@SCEtoAUX: When a sphere is constructed like the sphere at the deepsea submarine Trieste, then it is a pleasure.
Otherwise it will become a challenge to build it in a good shape.

I hope you enjoyed it. The design of that model took me a lot longer than I thought it would to come up with. Your antennas and stand look great.

The big sphere is indeed a pain to get right, but that is what the shape is on the show... so... sphere it is.

Hello Thales,

yes, it was a lot of fun.
I found my personal way to build the sphere and it worked on second try.

But there was one thing, that was not so fine.
Due to downscaling the kit to 1:100, the cutting lines of the glue tabs drawn in a light grey, where nearly invisible.
Also the cutting lines of the white globes at the Epstein drive were for the same reason invisible.
I extracted the parts of this page and redraw it with black lines, basing on the red globes.
Then I could cut them out and build them.

Well, I like the result and it fits in the same scale to the Rocinante.

Thank you for this construction and sharing it to us.

Cheers, Wiwo
