The weekend was too short! And I got excited during the build so I started to forget to take pics for every step. Here I already formed these tubes for the aft engine parts.

This time I was brave enough to try to just glue the tubes on edge with the disc formers ... and it worked! Much cleaner build actually compared to the last wing.

When sliding the aft engine onto the BBQ stick I had to trim the small raised parts on the wing but other than that it worked fine.

So now I have two main wings! I will leave the missing "interior" details of the engine intake for a rainy day. It was a fidgety mess from what I remember. But such an important visual element!

So next up is the step-by-step process of the laser gun assembly. To be continued ...

Chris

Clean, precise and beautiful work.
Aren't skewers the best?

I watched the new Star Wars movie last night and am so motivated but my regular work kept me from any progress and now with the holidays it might be difficult again.

I have almost finished all the wings in the meantime so they could happen any time soon. And then I still want to make a step by step of the laser things.

So, thanks for the reminder. Let's see what the holiday break allows :-)

It has been a while ...

I had some time today and was cleaning up when I saw the almost finished wings lying in the shelf. So I went on to finish them!

They are now basically done except for three I have to add the small interior details in the front "intake" but will leave that for later. Enough done today!

Remaining are the laser turrets. I have one built back then, so I need to do the other three and then start on assembling all the components.

I might have this project completed this year. Fingers crossed
