Remakes are for writers who's well of creativity dried up.

I completely agree with you eagleclaw, the "entertainment" business seems to be grasping at straws for the last decade (or more). There are some exceptions, but mostly it's a rehash of what came before.

There are things I might like to see remastered, with the film cleaned up and converted to digital (properly), same with the soundtrack. But I'm pretty tired of the reboots.

Yep, sorry to continue dragging this thread off topic, but I have to agree, there's just too many classic movies being "rebooted" that really didn't need to be.. I'll try not to start listing them but one that springs straight to mind is Total Recall, to name just one.

I hate how the "New" generation keeps remaking old classics!
Especially when they let Judy Garland remake The Wizard of Oz!
I can't believe that anyone thought Jack Haley could match Oliver Hardy's performance!
And don't forget Judy Garland also remade A Star is Born. It's like she was the Dwayne Johnson of her day.
And just how many Miracle on 34th Streets do we need?
Looks like Hollywood has been in the remake business since the 30's?
