Thanks it's been a tricky little ship to work on, really odd geometry and loads of interconnected bits but I think I've got a final design now. |

Last post for today, honest.
Quick update Railgun, mount, housing and turret buitl and waiting to be fitted. Got another one to do for the other side yet. https://photos.app.goo.gl/kf4pB2nRM1fmk6cNA |

Wow, that turret looks great! I'm just a few parts shy of being done with my Roci, and once I finish it I'm going to work on the Donnager. I'm hoping by the time I'm done with that beast, the Morrigan class will be ready. If not, no big. I'll wait patiently till the Doni has an escort ready.

I see you haven't switched to Blender 2.8 yet... you have got to try it, it's so much better than 2.7. |

Quick update, did a quick tweak to the front main module of the model. Some of the detail wasn't quite right I also opted to add a name plate to the model.
My original intention was to allow builders to chose their own name from a selection of secondary add on parts but couldn't find a way to get it to work that didn't look like a section had just been stuck on top of the hull. Since it's the only actual version of this ship to have any real screen time in the show I've opted to go with the Scipio Africanus. https://photos.app.goo.gl/tZncTQ4R5zDevhfR7 |

There are a couple of ways you could make optional parts for name plates. Either replicate the part that has the name on it, or make the replacement part a hull panel that can be easily cut from the original part and pasted in flush with the hull.

Still a work in progress.Having looked at the nameplate installed on the model with front and rear sections joined it still isn't sitting at quite the right angle. That doesn't bother me too much just now but the texture is going to get tweaked in just a few minutes and I'll have a little think about how to incorporate the interchangeable name plate in to that design. I am also going to redo the underlying hull plating textures as they are too big. |

Have done a bit of work on a new texture set for the model.
https://photos.app.goo.gl/qXJHyj7D31Eah2iSA Old one on the right new on the left in that image. - Have reworked the size of the hull plates, the ones I had before were too big. - Reworked some of the detail parts to match the hull plate design - Tweaked the size, angle and position of the name - Removed the optional wear and tear textures and added some distress features that are more in keeping with what is shown in the very first image on the first page of this post. It's like the 'dirt' 'debris'.. um whatever it is the ship hits in space seems to wear the paint or colour from between the hull plate sections. Anyway this is an optional secondary set of texures that I'll mess about with once this first build is done. |

Double checked the share options and the picture is set to share and is in a shared album, also double checked the link, bit stumped as to the issue. |
