I was very young when this show aired on national television in South Africa. I remember it being pretty claustrophobic, and slightly terrifying, but utterly cool nonetheless. Nice job on the comms tower!

the Eagles are the most realistic vehicles in sci-fi. There is a model of one somewhere on this site.

Butelczynski,

It was a great show when I was a kid one of my favorites, however Star Trek preceded it by 9 yrs.

There was a documentary about the making of the show that someone gave me (like an 8th gen VCR copy) that explained the politics behind the change from season one to season 2. It was due to ITT, the U.S. backer that said kids like monsters, so they needed to add monsters and the budget was cut which is why they went from the Main Mission set to the hole in the wall for the second season....oh and the women wearing skirts...

the thing that bothered me the most was no real explanation of the character changes. Characters just disappeared and others appeared (POOF)
