Delta Flyer

Thanks Trent AKA nothing, I have your version.

I am trying to find a way to get the rounded contours of the ship and not make it boxy. I have done some preliminary work to see how it comes out. I have to re-design it like you would build a plane , which means I have to make a skeleton and formers, and then skin it.

The outside is real smooth and I am trying to avoid the Sharp bends. Example is this pic. which shows the sleek look of the ship.

Neither do I, but the large view was good enough for me

Delta Flyer

Those last pics I have and are the ones I am using to build the Flyer with. I will probably use a variation of skins from Paragon, Ninjatoes and Nothing to skin it. Here is where I am at now and still working in between this and the Stage Coach.

I will try to do the interior. Once I finish I will upload the framework and interior design. Still searching for more info on control panels. I have a very nice interior shot in color but the panels are at an angle and make it hard to cut and paste. I may have to hand draw them and retouch on my graphics program.

Delta Flyer

As mentioned earlier, I usually do not start a thread unless I have finished the model or almost finished. I have this urge to do this model and I am controlling myself not to get too involved. I would like to finish my Stage Coach first, and that is coming out rather well so far.

Now I have some details on the interior of the spacecraft and I am working on that. I reduced the plans again to about 75%, and was surprised when I started to measure nijatoes skin/outline and it almost co-incides . So skinning the vessel should be interesting. I may have to tweak some fit areas but I am confident that it should come out well. I will try my darnest to complete the job. I do not like to leave things hanging.

These preliminary step should be interesting to others who may want to do ninjatoes, nothing and paragons download.

In this model I have plans for the rear compartment but I am going to leave that out. So without further ado here is the start of another thread.
