I built this Falcon a while ago, pictures are up on my website. Hey Getter, nice MiG , what's that smaller Soviet aircraft beside it?!

CD W That other Mig is Dr. Zarkov's 1/72 Mig 13. Well it's supposed to be 1/72 but that was before I realized a lot of my printed models were A4 format and I was printing to Letter :P

Right, updates! Got the main hull bit done, some small alignment errors, but those won't be too visible, as they are where the gangways are going to be placed.

First 3 photo's are the 4 upper holes before attaching them to the hullplate, depicted on the left, in that lovely blue color. And luckily i saved the hole cutouts, made it easy to know where they went on. The lower holes went together in the same vein.

The next 2 photo's are the lower hullplate fitted with the reinforcement parts and the outer rim pieces.

Last two are the married lower and upper hullplates.

Next up, the other reinforcement pieces for the upper and lower structures.

Final picture is of the tools I use. From left to right: Boxcutter, scalpeltype knife, trusty 2b pencil for marking and rolling, a point from a drawing compas that i use for scoring, set of pliers, 2 pairs of scissors and in the back an iron/steel ruler.

Oho! Here I thought you were just building the Falcon! I was considering building this one myself.

Sorry for the lack of updates... Eve had me in her clutches once again. And I'm hitting a little snag with the upper and lower support structure, can't figure out how it goes on. The images on the instruction pages (here)are too small to be any help. The markings on the MF are different then the ones on the YT...

If someone has in progress shots, or a diagram that explains these parts, please tell me!

It's just that the partnumbers are confusing. There are 6 R-7 support parts, 3 R-3 parts (of which i know 1 correct place) and R-5 and -6 (also know the placement of these). The R-7 and remaining R-3 have 'up' printed on one of their tabs, but there are small differences between them. Do i need to put the straight angled corner flush with the upper/lower surface and the R-1 squares?

Hey all, nice thread you've got here!

Saw the nice results and decided to download the files for this one, from the link in the main post.

However, that's for the blue-only YT-1300. I was going to ask how you printed it without the blue, when I discovered the link for the Millennium Falcon on the same page.

Thought I'd include it, in case folks had the same question I did.

To build this as the MF (instead of generic freighter), try this link:

Right, went through with the supports and added the lower hull skin, lower hull gangways and superstructures. Then i went flailing mad trying to roll tight enough barrels for the quad laser turret. Took me 3 attempts, once with the parts provided, but that turned out way too bad. Then i rolled up some paper strips around a toothpick, but these were too thick to fit. Last try was with half the paper used on the toothpicks rolled around the smallest drillbit i have. This gave the best results and only needed a small touch up with a marker to add lines.

There was a slight misallignment when i glued the hull skin though, so the underside is slightly off to one side, but i hope this won't be too visible when finished.

Also finished the stand.

Hi, nice build so far. There's one mistake though - the gunner's window in front of the turret should point inwards (a hole) - see http://i266.photobucket.com/albums/ii260/imcoldz/YT-1300%20korveta/02.jpg
