Thank you silveroxide - I've broken it off and cut away the part meant to be inserted. It's good that I did only one of them - in the second I had it easier just cutting by a ruler. One more reason I'm glad you did it before me :D

Rhaven Blaack - I'm happy you like it

*noted* filling gaps with glue, permanent markers are shiny... you are full of great tips, and this build thread is just oozing with model building tidbits that I'm keeping in mind for my build. Thank you for covering this so well.

The next area to watch out for, is the connection of the nacelles to the wing supports. I placed my ship flat on the table and then I placed the nacelles in their positions also flat on the table. Then I adjusted the curve of the wing supports as much as possible. The gap I covered with the second skin by making it a little longer at the connection point, it also helped in the panel details.

It seems that people are reluctant to use formed plastic for the Bussard collectors on paper trek models. I look at it like aircraft builders use formed plastic for canopies.

Amazing Build. I have a silly question, though. What do you use to "retouch" the parts? The color match is spot on. Your skills and this thread are absolutely inspiring. Keep it up!

Some people just don't have the resources, and with paper, its necessary to do it yourself. We release models in certain scales, but the truth is that there have to be some variations in printers, programs, etc. that cause at least minor scale differences, and as a result, make buying standard bussards from someone impractical. Not to mention, so many of the models use their own shaped bussard collectors.
