Has anyone built The Disco Enterprise?

I'm about to cut the Disco Enterprise. I'm interested in knowing if anyone else has built one yet?

Love the Pike character and hope that the rest of the discovery cast disappears lol? The update of the old connie leaves me with mixed emotions.

Disco Enterprise? what is this?

Not the biggest fan of the show (Discovery) and so I haven't followed the details that closely.

I tried to watch...and like...but I can't get past many of the cast.
Too many irritating people.
I really enjoyed the first Captain (that went evil).
And I especially loved Pike.

But I really dislike the lead actress who over emotes everything,
the albino Science guy who is mean and sarcastic to everyone,
the overweight girl given too much responsibility because she's needy
..and Groot
...they all bother me.

Oh my lord, I find Groot annoying.

I think, had they presented this as a Space show...like Star Trek...but not Trek.
We would have all been more accepting of it.
Its a good show, with good tech and good visuals.
But its totally out of whack with Star Trek...I guess thats why they invented the jump to an alternate future idea?!

I'm a die hard original Trek series fan (it and the animated series), and the first few movies.
Don't mess with my story!!
Spock didn't have a sister...and Sarek was a sourpuss

Hi Dave, I speak "Duke". Here is what he is saying . . .

He means the version of Enterprise from the show Star Trek:Discovery (Disco).

He mostly agrees with you about the crew (cast) of the Discovery, with the exception of Capt. Pike (Anson Mount).

And, he is torn about the redesign/update of the Constitution class Enterprise.

Mike

Hello Mike!

You are dead on with the Duke Speak!

You and I should speak of forum sometime and catch up.

Yes Dave the first season of that show was a tangent into a very annoying off canon universe of political correctness!

I look forward to future communication with you both.

lol "disco" (meaning discovery).

I had visions of the Enterprise orbiting a huge Mirror Ball.

Yeah, God forbid an actor "over emote" or a character is "sarcastic" or a female actor is someone's concept of "overweight"....

Okay...lets go...

The female actor that plays Michael is constantly contorting her face and over-emoting.
I don't like it.
The character is ridiculous and the actor makes her even more ridiculous.

God(or any other fictitious deity) doesn't need to get involved...?

The actor or character that is the Science Guy comes across as snarky, in a bad mood, and generally just mean to others.
Maybe this is part of the of the character story....but it was immediately distasteful, and I didn't like it.

Am I not allowed to judge and critique a TV show?

And Discovery's Groot (Saru) is (to me) the most annoying character with backward knees I have ever had to listen to.

The "overweight" girl, is just that, by Federation standards. Its even been discussed in the show (where she was unable to perform at the proper level because of her physical condition.
In the world of Star Trek, with all its major advancements in medical and future technologies...they don't have the ability to help someone who is out of shape?
And she never seems to have the confidence or ability to perform at the level shes been put in...how the heck did she get there in the first place?
Makes no sense to me...but then I have to tolerate constant hand-holding and coddling of this girl (within the storylines).

"Concept" of overweight?....I know what overweight is. I am overweight. Its not a concept...its reality.
And the reality is, I can have an opinion on fat people, and this show, whether you like it or not.

I did not know Jeffrey Epstein and I have no idea how he died!

I understand inclusiveness, and I have to work hard to stay 'a tad overweight'. I think at this point, it would take a catastrophic medical condition to actually get me down to my optimum weight and I don't want that.

You make some valid points. One coach for the Army football team talked about the Linemen. Something like this, 'We are building soldiers, not linemen. There's no room for 320 pound soldiers.' The Federation is military. They have to have standards. And Dave makes a good point. Surely in the future they should have the ability to help folks stay in shape.

Frankly, I have only seen the pilot of this and that was a long time ago. I don't know anything about this character, but I really would hate to think that in the future, we will still be struggling with this wide-spread current issue.

yeah yeah...I know...I love the original Trek, and yet...

Shatner was an "over-emoter.
McCoy was snarky and sarcastic.

but there weren't any overweight women...not even Takei...?

[its a joke...calm down...I love George]
