Just a update.
Model Design is finished. I stopped the paint work over the weekend for another project that I posted a picture of here above. Instead of going back to paint work I decided to finish all the design work for the structure. I felt that I was getting to far into the weeds and did not want to paint interior items and skin items that I would later have to redo if a structural redesign item required rework. The model is ready and I am now finishing the final paint work. I will publish the beta build pictures as I start tomorrow and am still on track to get Mike V the files for instructions to be complied by Christmas. I'm spraying pixels! Have a great day, (and sorry for the delays). The Busy Duke Out! |

Here is the weekends work.
Take a look at the attached PDF's. Let me know if the colors are on target. I'm not the best judge of that these days, (LOL), and would love input. Don't fret over the scale. I will be breaking up parts in to smaller bits and publishing at a much larger scale with glue tabs and part numbers soon. I am beta building as I go and will post pictures soon too. Off to spray more pixels.
Thanks, Carl |

I will also be including a soffit over the perimeter of the upper deck. this will allow a connection point in the freezing tube area for tubes and other mechanical equipment. I notice its need when i was beta building last night. The lower section structural redraw is also complete. I will paint it for your review after I finish painting/beta build of upper deck area.

Mike V. has supplied some very important details for the interior detailing/painting. I'm still spraying Pixels like a one armed paper hanger in a hurricane, (and every little bit helps). I'm gonna make this a very special come back for all you kids out there LOL!
Thanks so much for that Mr. Mike. Duke Out! |

Off topic,
But a Irwin Allen project to do after J2. I was given this yesterday by the widow of a friend that passed away last week. Bitter sweet surprise. Have a great day, And hug the ones you love! Carl |

One of the earliest paper models I downloaded was the Flying Submarine. But I could not get it to co-operate and I didn't really have any experience in paper model building at the time.
So I look forward to seeing this model to add to my list of Must Have Models! Cheers, John Gay |

The Jupiter 2 has always been my must have in cardstock. I built a flying sub years ago from a download too. Maybe I will visit that model in cardstock myself again some day soon. Gary Pilsworth has a good one if you want to try again.
Have a great day! Carl |

Are you a member at the Lost in Space Forum?
Home | Lost in Space Forum I've found plenty of reference material there. Theres an entire section chock full of stuff on the Jupiter 2 itself. Also, look to the Model Making section...and the subsection on the Jupiter2 and then look for the thread Jupiter 2 images...find a bunch of cgi interior views.

FANTASTIC!
Great source! I appreciate the info.. BTW, I have looked at your models Dave. Impressive quick builds. Your work interests me. Your style is eye catching and your subjects are very intuitive in the construction process. I have recommended your site to a few folks I know that work with kids in our church group. On behalf of Me and them thank you for your offerings. Have a great day! Carl |

The Lost in Space forum guys are very interested in paper modeling too.
I was well received there when I first joined and started sharing. Even though I am more interested in the new series. You would do well to share your project there.
