Star Wars Darkchild - Acts 1 & 2 (Picture heavy)

Hi folks...

This is a multimedia project I've been working on lately, in fact it's been taking up all of my spare time.

I decided to put my dioramas and "eherm" kid's Star Wars stuff to good use by making a picture novel. The story has only just started and I'm currently working on Act 3 which will introduce a host of new characters and concepts.

The work involves creating sets out of paper and card, customising vehicles and figures, photography, CGI effects (thanks to Ron2K3), photo editing and story telling. It's huge fun but completely absorbing.

I hope you enjoy what I have produced so far. Any comments or critiques are most welcome.

Great back drops, But the question still remains, where do you get those cityscapes from. The closest I been to that type of work is with Daz 3d Studio graphics.

Silveroxide try using Google Image Finder (top left corner of google search page)

Enter in the following searches:
Coruscant Cityscape
Future City
Coruscant Sunset
Etc etc...
You should get loads of interesting stuff come up.

Some of the images are re-used in different shots, I've just used parts. or reversed the image. A couple of the images are screen grabs, the final image is from 5th Element.

Thanks, when I get back to my graphics art I can use some of those backdrops. Like the these pics, where I used the bridge scene from Saving Private Ryan.

And some village and a painting for the Lehman Russ tank background.

They say 'a picture paints a thousand words' ...Those images are superb..Is there as story behind them?

No story, it is just me playing around with an old fashion graphics program. I place the figures to the front and then I start to pull items from the picture, cut and paste and remove the stands. Use the smudge to cover any white and so I made up a battle scene. The figures are from the tabletop game Warhammer 40K. i don not play anymore but I like to build and paint the figures and machines. The armor for this game are expensive and if you look through this forum, you will see some Warhammer items. But enough said, I love your storyline. One thing that I have done when I use the Star Wars and the Star trek figurines, I remove the Joint where the figures articulate with the magic wand and the air brush and brush away the connections.

Keep up the great work, there are others beside me who enjoy a good story.

Can you share the model of the Imperial computer terminal? I'm building one as a new computer case and it would save me a ton of work plotting the lights and buttons.

yes, I'm away until this evening but as soon as I get back I'll post the decals.
