Razor Crest

Hello

The link to the model files is broken. Does anyone know if the designer has a web page?

Thank you

Tom

Now lets build it.

I only have letter size or A4 paper, so I have to shrink the model. Hope it is still large enough.

I don't know if rasterbator is still working, but if I recall correctly, you could UL a file with large page formats to it and it would split the pages into sections that would fit onto a specified page size.

I’m in the middle of construction now. I first reduced it to roughly 60% to fit on letter paper. Once printed however, it was too small with lots of very small parts. I ended up printing on multiple pages using the snapshot function in Acrobat Viewer. I still had several pieces that needed to be spliced back together and lots of duplicate parts but it works 👍

I found a few places where the texture didn’t line up with the tabs that I fixed when edge coloring. Also the fold lines are difficult to see due to the texture. There are a few things that I would have done differently in the unfold and layout department but I’m very happy to have this kit

Mine is coming together slowly. Looks to be about 14 inches long and 10 inches wide when completed. I will post some photos later.

If you have questions I will do my best to help out🙂

Hi Isaac,
Are you using Acrobat? I used the snapshot tool to select the portions of the page to print. This worked for me, it may not work depending on your system and version of Acrobat. I would recommend playing with the tool to get a feel for how it works before printing anything 🙂
Ensure you have your page size selected and are viewing your image at 100%.
I repositioned the the view to show the parts I wanted to print.
Select the snapshot tool and snapshot your image.
Hope you have enough card stock😆
Steve

Steve

In the past this option was a hit or miss for me. I have my travel laptop and will try it shortly.

I wonder why the designer has spread the parts so far apart as to fit on A3 sheet?

Anyhow, looking forward to building this model after I finish my Thunderbirds 4 mini sub to go with the other TB models I have built.

Thanks

Isaac
Thank you.

Just trying this selection method. My version of Acrobat reader does not have this option. Whenever I try to put a box around the desired selection, it defaults to a tiny square.

Next option is to just zoom on the areas that will fit and print the current view. But that is a pain in the butt method and I will be wasting lots of card stock which is not in abundance at this time.

For now, this project is on hold unless the pages can be put back to Letter size or A4.

If someone ( with permission from the author ) has a printable version of the parts on Letter size, please let us all know it.
