Exclamation Engine and side nacelles

The model has two long side nacelles that house all the engines and the landing gear struts.

The fit is the best I could muster, but still acceptable.

The red engines are only dry fit at this time and will be added when the tail is done ( a bit too flimsy to glue on now ).

Exclamation Wings

There are two forward swept sub wings. More like fixed stabilizers.

My only addition is to make a card stock insert to act as an internal structure and also attachment to the fuselage.

Cool Tail

There are two vertical tails and a horizontal box for some sort of a power plant....

Exclamation Red engines

The two cylindrical engines are now glued on. I added wood dowels to improve the support to the engines.

Exclamation Legs

In the TV show, the Thunderbird 2 was launched off a rail raised up about 30 degrees or so. However, it landed vertically on telescoping 4 legs/struts that extended from the corners of the side nacelles. Being a child show, it all makes sense and I am ignoring all the engineering that has to go for such a system.

The kit provides the paper parts for making the legs.

However, I decided to used wood dowels colored in a silver sharpie.

insert to the bottom at the designated locations

and then the pads
