Cool Top body

It took a bit of wiggling, but I managed to slip the body over the tracks and formers.

Thunderbirds Firefly-img_1388.jpgThunderbirds Firefly-img_1389.jpgThunderbirds Firefly-img_1390.jpgThunderbirds Firefly-img_1392.jpg

small amount of glue was added to attach it to the chassis.

My hands were wet and I had a small section water damaged on the side. Oh well, its a tractor bulldozer after all.

Smile Cabin

The cabin sort of looks like an aircraft . Aerodynamically round ( I have no idea why ( unless it flies..... ).

and ready to attach

Thanks Igor.

The show at the time was interesting, but even as a child, it looked strange that they used marionettes as the action figures. It was both cheesy and interesting.

There is an animated computer generated version which I have not yet seen, but I have moved on to Star Wars and Star Trek since. I just finished watching all of the Star Wars movies in correct sequence as well as the Mandalorian season 1 all 8 episodes. I think I may start building some of those vehicles as well.

Science fiction is fun to watch even though it does not always makes sense.

and a side note: When I return home after this Corona virus is over, it is back to building jet planes again. ( but I will continue with Sci-Fi stuff as well ).

Cool Another status set

Pics so far.

Thunderbirds Firefly-img_1426.jpgThunderbirds Firefly-img_1427.jpgThunderbirds Firefly-img_1428.jpgThunderbirds Firefly-img_1429.jpgThunderbirds Firefly-img_1430.jpg

note:

I wanted to weather the model and dirty it up as it is a rescue/fire fighting vehicle. But I'm not at home and lacking supplies for it. So I settled on highlighting the panel lines with my travel Farber Castell artist pen. At least it breaks up the "yellow Bird" look.

The plow/shield is next

Exclamation Plow / heat sheild

I decided to use wood dowels for the upper actuators instead of the rolled card. Just easier
Thunderbirds Firefly-img_1431.jpg

attached to the pivoting shaft on either side
Thunderbirds Firefly-img_1432.jpg

lower struts are just coffee sticks painted with a silver sharpie. The attachment point is a bit different than where the kit designer has it for better support.

and its done.

lastly, in a lowered and raised position. The pivoting axle is functional.
