Lockdown build - WH40k Sentinel
Hi all!
Well, I've become far more a spectator than an active participant in the forum for quite some time - work always seems to get in the way of any quality build-time. However, the current lock down has (now all the decorating, cleaning and repair jobs have been completed) allowed me some time to begin to enjoy the hobby once more. Having built a number of Patoroch's WH40k models previously, this seemed a great place to start - if you haven't built one before and you're looking for an enjoyable build without too much stress, then they're great. The fit is almost always really good, and they have a lot of potential to add additional layering, recolouring etc. There's been a few builds over the last few weeks, but I'll just post the one here and see what the reception's like before thinking about adding any others. So, here we go - its the Sentinel, one-man, all-terrain, lightweight bipedal combat walker. Hope it might be of some interest guys!

Looks good. Nice clean build. You should be proud. Did you keep it in 28mm scale or change it? Thanks for the inspiration.

Wonderful job on the Sentinel, Shawn. I agree with your assessment of Pataroch's line of WH40K kits. I've built a half dozen or so of them and they are terrific. Each kit contains colored and B&W versions - a recolorers dream.

I really love to see these. At another forum I posted how even though I have never built one of these masterpieces, I thoroughly enjoy seeing them brought to life.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks Guys! Your comments always spur me on to build more (just wish the day job would allow more time to do so).
Yes, I retained the original (28mm) size for the model, small enough to give a few headaches but I really wanted to keep it to scale if possible (so that it will not look out of place with the other planned builds). Whilst on the point of scale, this next model, the Cyclops (a Remote Demolition Vehicle) was also printed at the originally designed size but is much larger than the 28mm scale of most of Patoroch's other models - the reason being, I'm sure, that the actual vehicle is less than a couple of metres tall.... Hope you enjoy - thanks again for the comments my friends. Take care all Shawn

The Cyclops came out great. Those Pataroch kits are a blast to build, aren't they?
