ATAT Star Wars Paper Model Build Thread
I thought I would start a post to say I have started to build my next model. All my models are built from scratch and as before the process will start in 3ds Max.
In addition, I have tweaked the version of the T-47 Speeder I created minus the landing gear, I am currently making two Speeders to go with the Walker. (i'll post pics when built to not take over the thread). All models will be 1/55 scale as before making the Speeders 10cm long and the ATAT around 41cm tall! The ATAT has been built before a few times in paper but I wanted to build it from scratch, (it adds to the fun!) As before I’ll update with some pics as I go... I have gathered lots of image references for the detail but at present I am building the basic body shape before adding detail. Basic body shape Internal construction to give the body some rigidity due to it's size Not much to look at yet so its not got the wow factor lol! |

May not have 'wow factor', but you gotta start somewhere.

There can never be enough AT-ATs!
These are my favourite SW vehicles. Great to see the birth of a new version. I'm hooked! |

Nice start on the AT-AT!!! If your looking for a Wow Factor and if you got the
time, Could you add this Version, We were cheated out of this as kids growing up cause the toy manufacture thought it was too violent. This is the Ion Cannon AT-IC |

Thank you for the comments, I can imagine it may be a long design process but I will see how I get on.

I probably will, i tend to not be good at instructions so hopefully others will use this thread to help with the build |

A small update...
Every time I start a new model I always think have I bitten off more than I can chew! Once I get the basics sorted it seems to just flow! As you can see I am working on the underside and legs before adding detail to the main body section.* |

Great feeling when that happens.

Wow! what good news!
I want to see that design now! I have a collection of paper dolls from star wars lego version, and I think that design could be perfectly added to a diorama with my soldiers! congratulations on the project, and thanks for sharing !!! Cheers ( Google translator) |
