The 4th Dimension

I was looking for a new kit and I came across one of the Time Machine.

I've seen many sites that have a kit but they all looked a little unsafe. Trying to down load a couple left me with very small pages that could not be increased to A4.

Then I found one on Amazon for not a lot of money. The difference was that the kit was printed and would be posted - I think - from China. Bearing in mind Amazons services I decided to buy it. It arrived on the expected date.

Having waited so long to find a kit of the machine I started immediately.

The instructions were mainly pictures with a "chatty" commentary. The parts fitted properly, but the bent tubes were fiddly and some parts very small.

The completed model is about 7.5 inches long and tall. I liked it so much that I bought a DVD of the original 1960 film that had been remastered.

I can't believe it's 60 years old although it is so "out dated"
So here's a modern version,

Cheers
Mike

I hate to break the news to you Mike.

But this kit is from Uhu02, once available here: #002[ TimeMachine ]ペーパークラフト: uhu02 ペーパークラフト

You bought, albeit a well printed copy of the kit, a pirated kit.
I do hope the kit wasn't a lot of money.

It won't save your blushes, I know Mike, but yours is the best build of this model I have yet seen.

I'd like to add to Rick's post . Should members of the forum chance to scroll through the paper kit listings on Ebay they will notice a good many entries "from China" that have been brazenly pirated from not only UHU's page but Canon and a few other free sites also. The piracy is both obvious and blatant.

Philip,

No blushes - I had a feeling it was a pirate, and I had been expecting a post from Rick.

I visited the Uhu site and there are quite a few differences between the two kits. I'm not sure if that is acceptable.

Rick. The kit wasn't a lot of money - based on the quality of the kit it was good value.

Even Formula 1 have their own problem - One of the teams' car is identical to the Mercedes car :-)

Could that be the Pat York version? I was aware of it when he was working on it, but never did get a copy.

I went to UHU's site and compared pics. It's UHU's. Still, it's a very nice build. You should be proud. Well done!
