Captain Harlock's Alkadia

The model is taken from the book that two of my classmates at the times had given me.

This is tribute to the kid I was: I started the model, the very first one I met, without the knowledge that it was a paper model, and never finished. The original parts were probably thrown away.

My skills have yet to grow, the model is quite raw. furthermore I had to fix some template issues, but I'm slightly satisfied, at least I completed it!

That's a very nice build, asettico, and a lovely-looking model too!

Ah, childhood, it never leaves you. So keep on truckin'.

Ah, nice to finally see where this model officially came from. I built one from a scan years ago, before I was aware of pirate sites.

The book is an Italian edition on the anime series. There are also the templates of shuttles and drones and the instructions about how to build the Harlock's rifle and guns using wood and other common materials. A truly blast from the past!
Without to forget a five sheet splash page with the Solar System structure.

Assetico, your build looks like a drawing come to life. Great build, great model, Congratulations.

Thank you for the words, Philip.
A proverb in my Veneto grandmother dialect says: «A sei anni siam putei, a sessanta ancora quei» («At six we are children, at sixty still those», probably Paperpino knows it ). Well, I'm not sixty, I'm not even six, but I still have fun!

Thank you, Derek. Let's say that I still have room for growth in skill...

I think I have just a couple of pirated models, downloaded before I knew of the sites nature. Skill aside, I refuse to build them, at least until I legally recover the originals.

Well, for what it's worth, mine was destroyed 2 years ago, along with 95% of my other built models, when we lost our home.

I think that you refer to this one, it's a Japanese model, definitely more accurate than the Italian version.
