Pelican Dropship

One of the first models I've built that wasn't building, container, or other piece of "terrain." I found a model online of the Pelican Dropship from the Halo games. I stuck the file on a flash drive and took it to a local print shop. The idea was to build it in scale with the ActionClix figures Wizkids put out a couple of years ago (28mm, about 1/60 scale). Here's a few picks:

This thing is long, around 2 feet.

As you can see, I still need to touch up the edges, but there's so many it's a little daunting.

Finished interior...

And yes, they do fit inside :D

Wow, nicely done. I printed out this model when it first came out but found the task beyond my skills at the time as there were little instructions.

Can we have more pics?

How much did you scale it up from the original size?

This is the first I've heard of this! Can you link to the download site? I'd like to build one for a friend of mine.

It looks great. you did a good job. I like the idea of making it to the scale of the figures. I would have liked to see the build from beginning to end.

Hi That is a neat model. Does anyone know if you can get the D&D buildings and accessories without having the game and where? Alisa

I've just unzipped it and it looks great - maybe about 1/72 but would probably go up to 1/48 easy enough especially if it was weathered up a tad...

Thanks for the comments! That's the same model. IIRC I had the print shop enlarge to 162% on 11x17 cardstock. Had one piece that got an edge cut off, but nothing too horrible. There were several support pieces that came with the model, but with no directions I could only guess what to do with them. I think there were two or three I didn't use!

I'll probably try this one again someday in the original scale, just for fun. That's a long ways down the road, though.

Thank you for these pictures, this is the first build I have seen other than the one done by the designer of this model. Now I know where I can go for quick help if I get stuck.

Gotta have this one on my shelf.
