Tron Lightcycle
Someone reccommended that I post this to one of the civilian transport threads. I' not sure it would be much good on the "school run" ;-)
Anyway here are a couple of photos. I am not very pleased about the finished article. I tend to blame myself for a poor finish. So if anyone has made this model, please let me know. The kit is available here TRON Lightcycle Cheers MikeS |

is it me, or do those pics look all too similar to the models on the site?

It is you, I have seen Jan's build, and now Mike's.
While they are the same kit, I can see distinct differences, and Mike might have been inspired by Jan's pictures. Rick

You're not looking close enough ;-)
My daughter send the file to me and rather madly I didn't look at any reference pictures, I just followed the page with the numbered parts. Here's a hint -compare the front wheels - having seen more pictures, I wish I could remove the above pics and consign the model to the WPB. Cheers Mike |

I think "bigfan321"'s comment was actually a compliment,
suggesting that Mike's cycle looked as good as the original! and I agree ...except for the fact that the front wheel rim bulges outward instead of inward...lol, its an interesting error! the rest of the cycle looks well done...is there anyway to trim out that part part of the wheel and fit a new part correctly?

Thanks for the compliment. I never like any of my finished models - I can always see the errors.
I've now started on a new project and don't really want to go back to a finished model. It's glued to the base and could be difficult to change. Perhaps I'll have a go when I've recovered from the problems of building it ;-) Cheers Mike |
