Warhammer 40k JetBike / Ing. Spendlik / scale around 1:16

Dear all,
After my first project (WH40k Dreadnought) I started to work on other projects and currently I am working on two of them. I have already started a thread with Endoskeleton hand 1:1 for Tata. This model should be finished very soon and be also available for download. My third project is somekind of return to WH40k universe. I am working on Jetbike of Sammael, Master of the Ravenwing. I have bought this very nice model from GW and right now I am finishing with 3D model in Rhinoceros (ver.4 / EDU). Paper model should fit to Dreadnought (scale should be the same).

The most difficult part on bike is still not finished (eagle on the front shield). In this stage I am not planning to make Sammael himself (he is in queue with other projects). But the rest of the bike is finished and already unfolded (and already printed ).

I have printed all 7 A4 pages on 160g/m paper. The model in this stage have more than 350 pieces and will have more than 25 cm in lenght. The very first photo of the BETA model (sorry for this image / I have moved to a new flat and still do not have my own part of flat with custom "photo studio" and have also changed the compact camera to digital SLR and I am unable to use it / it is too complicated) is below.

All photos are stored at my WebAlbum.
New photos should arrive soon.
Any comments or critics are welcome.

Your Ing. Spendlik

Wow! I love it. Great project and flawless execution. Can't wait for the download :D

The front shield looks like taken from the Gothic spaceships of Empire ...

Too right! That looks incredible mate! I look forward to an eventual download, that will go very sweetly with my Ravenwing (scaled down of course).

It does certainly evoke the prow of the Battlefleet. It has the air of a sacred relic.

Any plans for a rider?

Small update.
I am going to create some kind of skeleton for the main body part to strengthen construction.

So, I am starting from the very beginning again...

If it's too flimsy you might try wholesome lamination like I did here

I can't wait to see this one! I remember seeing your first teaser pic back on zealot, and I had forgotten about it until now.

I have the real thing still in its box in my room, I think maybe a tandem project might end up being in order

Welcome Spendlik.

Could you please show some larger pictures or some color references of what the final model is supposed to look like?

I can't wait to see some build pictures. :D
