Hello cmags, first, really good job!!! I like it

Secondly, I found in he Google 3D Database a whole bunch of 3D Google SketchUp' .skp files by Adam Waymire (aka "0087 Adam") :

Models by 0087Adam - Google 3D Warehouse Search

You can find a whole set of accessories fine and detailed like the four Stargate Control Clamps, the Ramp (complete, including the part on the other side of the Stargate), the Command Room with a bunch of Computer Screens, etc... Just missing are the walls, doors, etc... of the stargate room.:(

You can find some pics, I've downloaded all (including copy of the html page for credits), but I can't post them without Adam's permission. If you want them, and have no time to search (I don't give you all the links, or yes if you want so), just e-mail me or PM me an e-mail address, I'll send them.

If I was more familiar with Pepakura (I never use it, nor Metasequoia, but my fingers just want to play :D), I could unfold them and prepare the complementaries for the Gate, but it is not possible yet, may be in some weeks:o, as I would be interested in a complete Command and Stargate Room diorama.

Hope this may help,

Alain aka Darth Windius

Post SGC Stargate by Adam

Adam has transcoded from .skp to .3ds and enhanced his model. It's now on SciFi-Meshes, at:

Glad i could help. I must warn you of a few things that aren't exactly accurate. When i designed the actual stargate, i made too many sections for symbols, and i ended up having to fill in the rest with greek letters. However if need by i can refurbish the model, and make it simpler.

Please that you are with us.

My dear mates, I am happy to intruce Adam Waymire, the prolific and talentuous author of the numerous Stargate SG-1 and Atlantis related 3D SketchUp models I spoke of recently.

And this talentuous designer will be only 17 yrs on next December 2!!!!

I think it made him one of our younger member, and certainly the youngest genius among us, right?

And he is also very kind. This is his answer to my request for using his models:

I'm always glad to hear from my fans, and I value your feedback. You may
post as many links as
you would like, and I would love to see the paper models you can come up
with, so of course you
can use them.

I can export them to a few different formats if you would like me to. I can
make them into .3ds and .obj

First question, for the Admin: is this mail sufficient for legal and fair stuffs?

and my answer was that:

Quote:
Hello Adam,

...
Many thanks for your mail, and your agreement. I felt obliged to ask you, I can't just take it and use it, it would not have been fair.
Specially with such qualities (and I am speaking of the impressive bunch of .skp models you released on Google).

As for the 3D Model modifications (if needed), and the process of paper model design and built, first you will be advised in real time of the progresses, with many screenshots and camera pics (you'll have access to the maybe modified 3D model, so you can make any comment or modifications you want to), and second your name will be credited as author or co-author (in case they are many modifications) for the 3D model, an as "3D model author" for the paper model.
Though I am sure that most of you will agree with this "fair agreement", I demand that any of you who want to use Adam's models be so fair with him, he highly deserve it....

Something look like this:

PaperModelers.sk • Zobrazenie témy - StarGate SG1 - Hviezdna brána /WanRayen/ 1:35
It looks like a sratc built kitbash, but it looks GREAT, something we can do to complete Milkyway Gate (see pics)

well thanks for the praise, but its really just something i do in my spare time. Only 17, but yet i already feel old. My dad used to no let me on the computer, because he was afraid i'd mess it up. Well, now i'm the one bailing him out. As for the model, you will probably end up doing quite a bit of changing.

As for the model below, it looks great, but it is inaccurate.

The Stargate:

The MALP (I am currently revising this and it should be released within the next month):

Other Small Things:

^ Goa'uld Data Device ^

^ Lantean D.H.D. and Console ^

No not really. I've gotten a few more chevrons attached, but haven't really had time for this lately. Been trying to finish the Paper-Replika Christmas train before Christmas and that's going to be tight so this will wait for a while... Sorry guys.
