Great observations

I started the secondary hull by reinforcing the top of it with 2mm of solid cardboard so that it would not warp or twist. There is also 2mm of solid cardboard in each of the nacelles pylons.

There were a few parts that I could not figure out where they went, and ended with leaving them out. In the last picture in my post above you see the shuttle dock. I used a flat image here because I could not work out how to assemble the parts for it (until after the build was finished).

I have gotten the same wavy affects in the saucer build and trie reenforcing it to counter the affect as much as possible. The thick firming paper framing the upper secondary hull has helped!

Absolutely!

Your parts are always clear and your instructions unimpeachable.

Thanks D-WHALE

I'm planning to build a rename of this model, the USS Crazy Horse NCC-50446
I'll also extend the warp nacelles. However I have 2 models in line before the Crazy Horse. I am currently working on the Rom warbird from TNG. Then I have planed to build a recolor of the Lambda class shuttle from SW VI RotJ. Its supposed to be bone white, but the one I have is more blue

How do you get a font for the name on the starship?

I owned the old PC font set but none work with my much newer Mac.

Also, noe had red outline around the ship's name.

Just curious...

BTW: Please post a build page for both the Excelsior and Roman!!!

Love to see it.

I remember what I did to get the red line, in Ms. Word I did all the letters and numbers in black and red, with the red ones larger then the black. I then took a screen shot, brought that into the other software that I don't have anymore. added the background color from the model, then copyed the black lettering (with a little of the background) and pasted over the red so that I got the red line.

At the time, this was the only way I could think of doing it. The software I lost had a feature that would let you bend a word any way you needed. That was how I made the curving "NCC - ######"

Also, you can download a TTF file for Ms. Word that has the Federation stile font.
