Eagle Transporter Space 1999
Hi,
after a summer break its now time to present my latest model the Eagle Transporter from the tv series space 1999. The frame of the model is made of more than 300 paper-pipes. These parts were not that much easy, but the most difficult parts are the pod an the small thrusters at the legs. For the pod I used a lot of cardstock and the little thrusters are only buildable with a amagnifying glass and a tweezer. Here are some pics of the model with the first part of my projected diorama. regards Loenf

Really nice Eagle, I build one some time ago too and i had the same bad issues with the pod, you found a very effective solution.

I think I'm looking at a near-future POTW. . .
Very nice job; how did you make the base display?

That is a great looking model. I remember watching Space 1999 when it first came out. Those were interesting ships and you've really done them justice with this model. thanks for sharing.

Nice build! how big is it and to what scale? are there any tips that one could pass on with such a complicated pipe design?- do you have any photos of it being built in stages- methods of construction that i could learn from this please...and of course where could one get the design from- as i ve found loads of designs on the net- which one was this?
