Smile Star Wars Y Wing Construction Report

Well to inaugurate me in the forum I will post the report of construction of a model of Y Wing in the scale 1/72 that I did. The objective was to do a model with an appearance the more possible realist, using besides the model in paper material of low cost as scraps of cables IDE and ethrnet, wire, raft wood, lolipop toothpicks, icecream toothpicks, needles and pins. Besides I printed the model twice in different thickness to take out panels and mechanisms and the texturize in 3D.
In spite of already to have posted in other places this is the first international forum that position a good part of the construction process that was long more or less three months.

Although the textures and the general level of the model are very good and come from the excellent add ons for the game X Wing Alliance, the paper model has some small adjustment problems and a total absence of fitting in the wings and naceles.

The process of construction of the neck, in this case used besides the paper, small wire pieces, clips, staples and the piece had to be reinforced with wood why was projected for a serious mistake to be leaked because she sustains the head and a much heavier group...

The most difficult part was the central group of the ship, a lot of detelhes, pipes and mechanisms had to be added, besides reinforcements in the wings, the pieces how they were projected for that model are difficult of setting up and they demand some

The construction of the naceles, in that stage had to use of some resources the more in the construction, as the use of raft wood in the stems of cooling and in the scratchbuild of some components, the raft wood was stamped with cianocrilate glue to level the textures of the wood and later painted with acrilic paint, as well as the details done in scratch...

As the base was made used for the support a hard cardboard (400g) in Brazil he is called of paper Bismark and the stem was made of raft wood and later painted with acrylic paint.

This is terrific, but I'd love to see pictures of the 1/100 Douglas O-35. Are they posted anywhere? If not, could we see them, please?
