honor harrington
Ive been trying to make the starship Nike from honor harrington's books but it keeps comming out wrong. Ive been doing it by hand w/o a comupter. Would that be any better? this is my first attempt at making a model from scratch.

What are you using for references? I've read a few of the books and really enjoyed them but have to rely on my imagination for an idea of how the ships look...

There's also a website out thee somewhere with ship 3-views and class size comparisons. Also, there's a gaming company thet produced (or is producing) a miniatures game based on the Honorverse, with resin warships. Their illustrations might prove useful to you.
David Weber always described the ships as a "hammer-headed spindle", leaving lots of your for the reader's imagination to work. Wyvern |

I saw the ships created by that gaming company and it lacks something... on the ships. Something that you know that it is there in the books... Well, that's only my opinion.

In one of the recent Honorverse offerings there was a massive (literally) rethinking of the relative sizes of the ships. It didn't have a lot of detail on ships layouts either - just contiued the hammer headed spindle with a couple of rings of drive node lumps.

Anyone still interested. The Company is Ad-Astra Games they do have reference books for both the RMN and PN Fleets. There is a Jane's Fleet manual for both. The Game is called Saganami Tactical Simulator. I have it but can't find anyone to play with. I've also tried making two models an SD and SD/P as well as a LAC Carrier. I was planning on posting here when complete.
