Question about the cargo ramp... The hinge cutout is only in C15 and C114, even though the ramp is supposed to equal the thickness of C15+C17+C114... does this mean that the axle is supposed to be off-center, with more bulk being on the top/inside than on the bottom/outside?

My mistake - the cutout should be in all of the three layers. Thanks for pointing it out, I'll fix it in next version.

Good news is the axle has a lot of play in the ramp, so it should fit even without the third cutout.

I finished my Shuttle this weekend!

Top View with the wings extended.

And Closed.

Port side view.

Rear View.

And Front. Got too much glue on the cellophane and it was a bit too flimsy.

But nice view inside. Notice Inara had to replace the pilot's chair?

And a closeup of the intake details. Should have rotated the image first.

Great project! Really tested my skills and taught me a lot of tricks along the way!

Congratulations on finishing the shuttle! No small deal in my book. Looks good too.

>JohnGay: nice shuttle you've got!

Progress report: primer coat of "ceramic brown" exterior is finished. Interior blue/gray/dirty/whatever is next in line.

As someone very new to paper modeling (2 months) all I can say about this whole thread is "Freakin WOW".. This show has always been one of my favorites because of this ship. Starting with Micro's design to the build pictures everyone has posted this has just blown me away. I am in awe of the talent I have seen here.

Some more progress pics, the first one is the first part I tried to test build many months ago. The 2nd is my latest attempt at the same part, I'm much happier with this one.

Shiny!
The aluminium foil is a good idea to fight light leaks.
