Hi Robert, it's always bad when surrounding reality interferes our precious sublime being - hope you get things sorted out well. Legs are the next phase and I'll report my impressions here. I thought about that 'fogging' too and before that one could carefully scratch some fine vains on them too. Let's see. Good to hear from you pal.

She's got legs! And she's beautifull even handicapped so far. The only thing I'm worried about is the shortnes of her skirt. Should I give her nickers? :D

Legs went together quite allright. This model is best when printed on a single weight paper - mine was printed on heavy weight and that just makes preforming the parts so much more difficult.

Legs are posable to some extent and I haven't glued them together yet.

Tapcho, it may be the paper weight. My Tink's legs go up into the skirt just a bit more - your may need to give her something for modesty's sake (what sort of undergarments would a fairy wear, anyhow?)

I noticed this 'issue' earlier, figured I'd either paint or use a strip of spare skirt to add something to keep the pervs at bay.

Ah, the weirdness we weave...

Maybe green panties? Or keep the circumference of the skirt but lengthen it just a tad?

''Don't go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path.'' Next to do is her 'magic wand'. And her hands too.

She is ready for her magic!

Finally I got her done. Couple of notes from the build: very enjoyable experience altogether and very educational too - UHU02 has very very unique style to unfold his models. Some joint and bends seem virtually impossible to do but when you study them and do all prefolding as precise as you can you eventually get the hang of them. You get the best results by gluing all the tabs one by one. The only problem is that there are many. The designer must have some sort of fetish relationship with tabs.

She is very roughly done I must admit. I should have started her again and change the paper weight but didn't really bother. She looks great to my eye thanks to UHU's design - character is so cute overall and that shines over my obvious mistakes.

I had to do some retouching in the end and hide some worst blemishes caused by me. I used flesh tone acrylic paint.

Her magic wand carries photo etched turbine blades of Mig-21 in scale 1/72. :D

Despite all said and done I like her alot. Hope you like her too!

BTW Robert, when do we get to see yours? You must be done by now and I'm ashamed that you might have been waiting for me to finish mine this being my thread and all - am I right or am I right? I chose a red ribbon for my lass - not for the reason that anybody could mix your build to mine because yours is so much cleaner and better in many ways. :o

Thanks Thunderchild - my first but not last adventure with UHU models. Hoping to start the sub from Fantastic Voyage someday. :-)
