I also suppose docking on the satation is easier for crew to come and go instead of going to transporter room and beaming over... i mean your talking a few hundred people on the ship so the transporter rooms would end up with pretty long queues... so docking allows them to come and go easily..

I love the discussions! Particularly the size and scaling. Lots of food for thought while I'm busy with the design. Thanks guys!

Mchale, I might just do that! :D I seem to recall there is a small Defiant out there. Once I'm settled on a scale I'll see what the difference is and decide.
I'm also toying with the idea of adding a VERY simple and VERY basic Runabout. Once again though, this is TBD.

Thokamous, If you can supply me with decent ref pics of the later weapons pods, I could add them.

Regarding docking, Id wager a bet that not all species have transporters either. They may even consider it rude to ask the station to use theirs...

Finally a call for help... I'm struggling to find good reference for panel detail on the LOWER side of the habitat ring. I thought about just reusing the upper details, but from the refs I do have, they seem different. Any assistance from anyone would be appreciated.

On with the discussions!

:p

Thanks RB! That pic helps a lot!

I got the blueprints already, but alas, no bottom view! I actually came across a discrepancy between the studio model and the bluprints already LOL!

Well, everyone likes pics! So here's one of the completed hub. (Ok, so I still need to do the antennas...:p)

Hi TC!
No problem! I had the same project :o but unfortunately i have no time for it! these pics i had need too! If you need more, tell something and i will try to make a pic!

Q: why do you make the light brown version of DS9? there are two version light brown and grey! Do you will also design a grey version?

Anyway! I´m glad to help you! I guess, i have a good add for this station and maybe for "cmags" an alternative for the Yeager! The model is not finish yet, but everybody can riddles what it is!
