oh, I forgot to show you the solution for both side generators. I think it's interesting. at the moment it's simply mirrored from rear to front, but I'm planning to change the shape of the frontal top.

Thumbs up F a b

This is looking fabulous Fargo. I love the layering your using to add depth and detail. A very inspiring design and build. I wish I had more time for all those models on my list.

Keep up the great work,

Steve

thank you Steve the layering is an experiment, because I used a simpler cover for my other transport and, in fact, it appears flatter. I think it will give us its best only after having been varnished and wheatered. anyway, I think I can understand you as for the constant lack of time :( I'm used to working an hour or two at night (23.00 => 00.00/01.00)
if only I had had more time, I'd have built the entire Rebel Fleet now :D

hi guys
this project is suffering from a frustrating lack of time :( sigh... and the other sad news is that I won't manage to complete in time for my girlfriend's birthday... to be honest, I don't know when I'm going to finish it, it could be next month as next year. so, first of all, do you think I should show it to my girlfriend anyway? I mean, at least she will take a look to the beast I'm building for her because, even if it's incomplete, it looks very good
as for the pics: engine block is taking shape finally!

first one - plastic tube dovered with normal 80g paper drenched with cyanoacrylate
2-3-4 - adding basic details
last one - what it will look like once assembled, considering that it lacks of other two engine (where you see that hole and above). I hope to take a pic of the whole thing in the next few days...

Yes, progress! I think you should show her the craft even when it's unfinished - and offer her the chance to glue some pieces in on her own (may took some time to convince her). Fun guaranteed!

thank you!!!
ok, I'll tell all... I'm experimenting a cheap (and for cheap I mean an economic way!) method to cast elements without silicone rubber, polyurethane resins and whatever... ok, maybe that' not properly papermodeling, but it helps. when I manage to work it out I'll post something for sure...

while I keep my experiments (a bit frustrating), every now and then I blow the dust away from this thread with some update. now it's weaponry time

sorry, I'm not so good at rendering and light management, and sorry again for my poor photo skills. anyway, in CG you can see the basic shape (red), whereas green arrows mean "dead way", beacuse I don't like how the central cannon looks like at all and I want to change it... as soon as I find a good idea
then the building process: I chose to put up that "armor" on cannons lateral elements to give them a heavier look... I think they reach the goal pretty good. the orange wire adds details. all in all it's growing aggressive... at this point I'm not so sure if I want to give it to my girlfriend once completed!!! :D :D :D I'm joking
