ARMORMAN,
Can i just say how great these models are, and soo wonderful when built and posed, can i ask being that i have produced some models in 3dsmax2010, what is the software that is used to unfold these gems? as, i would like to get a copy of the software to unfold my creations and who knows, perhaps offer them in return for the many many free and wonderful models found here. With fondest regards to you and yours and all here, many grateful thanks.............. Tom....... |

Tom,
I believe the designer is using some type of auto-cad software. If you have Max, You can export to Pepakura Designer and unfold it there (If I recall, the price for Pepakura is $40). |

ARMORMAN,
Thank you my friend, 3DSMax2010, will export to Pepakura, which i do own, but, find that the scaling of the models is rather wierd and not acurate most of the time, just approximates as such, the scaling value used some times helps, but, not always, am tring to sort out how to use Pep to best advantage, hoped their might be some other software used i had not found out about, guess i must just keep trying till i get it better. Best regards to you and yours, Tom............ |

Tom,
What I do is create a 1" X 1" square patch that I export with every model. That way, when I disassemble the model, I have a control by which to calculate. |

Yes i see, so 1" sq, as control, then i take it that, a given model say 6 x 3 x 3 inches, will have to come out more or less those diamentions as the control is dictating the scale and size for all other measurements used/entered for the model proper!!!!!!, yes???.
