1/250 Razorcrest

Having been a while since I used up some of my ever precious stash of Red River
silver paper, I found the Razorcrest an interesting option.

Starting with the PR models "micro models" kit, I re-colored various panels different shades,
knowing that this would be a little more visually interesting than the monotone gray of the kit.
Once printed, I gave it a coat of Krylon matte, to give it a less shiny look.

Modifications were minimal. I printed a second copy of the exhaust, reverse rolled it and
installed inside the kit exhaust to give something visual inside. I also added domes to the
engine fans, as well as using plastic tubing for the simplified blasters.

Final touches were some weathering on the blasters and exhaust,
and just some light smudging on leading edges.

One note, this kit does require some weight in the nose, otherwise it is a tail sitter.

Thanks!

Very impressive Ray. Especially with such thick paper at that scale.

Bob, the Red River paper is 46lb, thinner than my usual 65lb stock.

That red river silver paper really brings the model to life. Very nicely done Ray.
