The Moscow Kremlin / Oriel / 1:250

A few days ago, I started to present you the Moscow Kremlin project in the freshly unpacked section. Now, I will start building the Kremlin complex, starting (of course) with part 1 of the series. I hope, you will join in from time to time...

Part 1 (Oriel No. 49) Soviow Tower, Senate Tower, Wall Elements

I will start right away with the Senate Tower, followed by the Soviow Tower and the wall elements between them.

Part 1 (Oriel No. 49) Soviow Tower, Senate Tower, Wall Elements

The tower base was set on and stiftened by 2mm cardboard. I wrote the part identification beneath it and it should be strong and stable enough for placing the tower and later on the other single parts of the complex on a flat surface.

Joerg,

Thanks for the posting - I have the towers but so far have not made any of them. I think I have all their Architectural kits except the very latest one. I'm about half way through their Crimean Cathedral, and am very happy with the kit.

I understand from the owners that they intend to make all the Kremlin towers over the next few years. I had thought of scanning some of the walls so I could make a scale version of the kremlin, but it would need a base about 3M or 10 feet square!

By the way the company is based in Kherson in the Ukraine - did your kit come in a rather unusual packing? Mine was wrapped in paper and then in a big woven nylon sack!

Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike,

no unusual packing with my models, because Iīve got them in Germany. But nice idea for exporting goods like cardmodels...

I have now 7 parts of the kremlin in stock and Iīm waiting for the next two parts announced. They should be the final parts for towers and wall. Letīs hope and see.

But for now, letīs switch back to the Moscow Kremlin...

First platform of the Senate Tower was formed and built. Brick red and russian green is a nice colour combination...
