Dossier Models St George's Chapel

Got a printed copy of Dossier Models St George's Chapel. Which is a church located in the lower ward of Windsor Castle.
It's the Headquarters of the Royal Order of the Garter.
This model is printed on 4 sheets of A3 paper. Print quality is really nice.

I designed this one but I have only been working with 8.5x11 sheets on my inkjet printer. It is really nice to get the real printed version to work with. Its amazing how different professionally printed models are from inkjet printed.

Started with the Base.
It takes up most of an A3 size sheet. (the squares on the cutting mat are inches)
There is an inset in the base where the main entrance stairs go.

Next I put together the building structure, it is made of 3 pieces the main skin and two formers.

Once you have the structure in place, you add detail (all the windows).
originally I had the Albert Chapel attached to the main structure, I didn't realize it was actually a separate building (only attached by one false wall)
This build was a final test of all the additions I made.

I will probably finish this build tomorrow. I need to add the other transept. then finish up the main entrance, then between every window is a Buttress.

I am really pleased with how this model has turned out.

Like I said before I have been working on this model using 8.5X11 paper and the real model is printed on A3,
here is a (blurry) comparison shot of the A3 vs 8.5x11

Looks nicely printed, with good detail.

Another model publisher is always welcome, and U.K. based too.
