Here is my latest building. It was originally built as a house but is now a restaurant, sitting halfway up a cliff overlooking the Black Sea near Yalta , Ukraine.

Unfortunately, the designer has got the Vyskovski problem, that is, using a different colour pallet from the original building. The original is almost white stone.

However, the model is quite straight forward – just follow the numbers, there are instructions but the English translation - “inventive”. The parts fit very well but the crenelations are poor. Each side of the towers are made up of one piece that looks like fingers and when folded, glue to the floor but leave the sides empty. ( see pic 2) I therefore copied all the pieces and made up pieces to fill in the sides to make the crenelations look solid.

The part that took longest was cutting out the white bits in the balustrades. For all these pieces I used a 15A blade.

Like many of my models, I had to be made because we have seen the real Building. I am happy with the finished article, but wish it had been printed with more authentic colours.

Fine build Mike. It's a spectacular building and I remember wondering the color choice of the model. One could get a fantastic diorama of this modeling also the steep cliffs it sits on. Hard to imagine that these kind of buildings were oncee actually private homes.

Beautiful. I would go crazy with the balustrades and the crenallations would have left me sitting there for a month figuring out how I was going to fix it ...

The joy of photos is that you can aim the camera at the good bits ;-)

The kit came from Paper modelling. It is a relativlynew company in Ukraine. They have many buildings and many other types of kit. The quality is good and this is the only one that has the colour problem. They only accept paypal. But if you make foreign kits - paypal is a "must"

I've made quite a few and there are reviews on the forum.
